The ExxonMobil Staff Cooperative Society Vision
The ExxonMobil Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society(EMCOOP) was borne out of the desire of the generality of local employees of ExxonMobil & it's affilaites in Nigeria to organise themselves into a "society" to pool resources together for the benefit of one another. It was not a novel idea as the system obtains in most properly structured organisations in Nigeria,especially the multinationals. The advantages cannot be overemphasised.
The philosophy behind the Cooperative Society system is simply that of number (volume) which has been found to be the biggest bargaining weapon in any transaction between two or more parties.
The establishment of EMCOOP was pursued on the platform of local employment in ExxonMobil Nigeria for easy administration and control. It is purely an employee initiative and purely employee managed.
This new web-portal is designed to take us all to the next level, by provide online access to the COOP services and information in a secure and cost-effective manner.
